We were a small group of students this year. Our teachers were Heidrun Schiedek and Maria Obermayr.
We did a lot of different activities: we played games and thought about what we would bring to a desert island. The students jumped on their feet and tried to win exciting quizzes. Furthermore, we learned English with songs. Creativity was key when we wrote and acted out short plays. In order to be prepared for a future job interview we had to prepare and answer crazy job interview questions.
Lisa, our Native speaker, provided first-hand information about life in the UK and helped improve our speaking skills. We expanded our knowledge of kitchen words and baked English bread and enjoyed British tea.
In order to improve our fluency and pronunciation, we were given a lot of opportunities to be active and improve our speaking skills. Each student had to prepare a presentation about a topic of their interest or teach the group a special skill. We learned to play Banjo, listened to a piano concert, learned about British football, British food, the Royal family, the making of Jurassic Park and hair care and the rules of tennis. All in all we had a great time learning English.
